Why A Bed
The easiest therapy session is the one they choose.
Wraps and vests work beautifully when you're targeting one area, but some dogs simply won't sit still in anything fitted. The Therapy Bed flips that around. It's a sofa-style bed first, so your dog settles in on their own terms, and the light reaches whatever is resting against the cushion: hips, elbows, shoulders, side, and chest.
It also makes daily consistency effortless. Instead of a session you have to set up, it becomes part of the nap they were already going to take.
Built For
Comfort for the dogs who need it most.
Senior Dogs
Gentle, everyday support for aging joints and muscles, delivered during the rest they already take.
Arthritis & Stiffness
Support for stiff hips, elbows, and joints, especially on those slow-to-get-up mornings.
Recovery & Active Dogs
Post-activity muscle recovery, and comfort during healing alongside your vet's guidance.
Not just for dogs. Cats and other pets of a similar size can rest on it too.
The Science
Two wavelengths, two jobs.
Red and near-infrared light are absorbed at different depths. Combining both means the Therapy Bed supports tissue near the surface and tissue further down, the same dual-wavelength approach used across the Solaura line.
660nm
Red Light
Absorbed closer to the surface. Supports skin, coat, and superficial muscle.
850nm
Near-Infrared
Travels deeper. Reaches muscle, connective tissue, and joints below the surface.
This is a supportive wellness tool, not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment, especially for new, worsening, or post-surgical conditions.

Questions
Good to know.
Is red light therapy safe for my dog?
Red and near-infrared light therapy is non-invasive and drug-free, and veterinarians use photobiomodulation for musculoskeletal and recovery support. As with any new wellness routine, check with your vet first if your dog has a diagnosed condition, is pregnant, or has a history of cancer.
Does my dog need eye protection?
The light shines up through the cushion rather than toward your dog's face, and most dogs naturally close their eyes while resting. Avoid encouraging your dog to stare directly into the LEDs with the cushion removed.
Which parts of the body does it reach?
Whatever is resting against the cushion. Depending on how your dog lies, that's typically the hips, elbows, shoulders, side, and chest. If you need to target one specific area, like the back or a single leg, a fitted wrap or our Flex Therapy Pad may be a better fit.
What's the difference between 660nm and 850nm?
660nm red light is absorbed closer to the surface and supports skin and superficial muscle. 850nm near-infrared light penetrates deeper, toward muscle, connective tissue, and joints. Using both gives broader support than either one alone.
Can my dog use it as a regular bed when the light is off?
Yes. It's a full sofa-style bed, so your dog can nap on it any time. You decide when the light is on.
Will it work for my cat?
Yes. The light works the same way regardless of species, and the bed comfortably fits cats and other pets of a similar size.

  • "I was skeptical. Truly. But after watching Biscuit struggle on the stairs for six months and spending $400 a month on vet laser sessions that only helped while we kept going, I was willing to try anything. Three weeks in I actually cried. He climbed onto the couch by himself for the first time in almost a year. We haven't missed a daily session since."

  • "I already use red light therapy on myself so when I saw this existed for dogs I ordered it the same day. Our 9-year-old Lab has hip dysplasia and I'd been wanting something more consistent than clinic visits. Six weeks in he's moving better than he has in two years. My husband was skeptical. He's the one who puts it on him every night now."

"Duke had TPLO surgery on his rear leg and recovery was going slower than his vet projected. A friend in a dog rehab group recommended red light therapy. We started the wrap at week three post-op. By week six his vet said she was genuinely surprised — he was ahead of every milestone she'd set. She asked me what we were doing differently."
