Solaura Back Therapy Vest Size Guide
Find the right size for your dog.
The Back Therapy Vest is designed for small to medium dogs. It comes in two sizes — Small (up to ~20 lbs) and Medium (~20–55 lbs). Use the breed reference guide below or scroll down to measure your dog for a perfect fit.
Maya — the Puggle who inspired Solaura — wears this size at approximately 20 lbs, which is the upper limit for Small. The panel sits flat from the shoulders to the mid-lumbar region on dogs in this weight range.
Ideal coverage for medium breeds from 20–55 lbs. The wider, longer panel provides full back coverage from the withers to the lumbar region. Not designed for dogs over 55 lbs — see the Pro Vest for larger breeds.

Back Therapy Vest.
Professional-grade photobiomodulation. 20 minutes. At home, every day.
The same red light therapy technology used in veterinary clinics — now in a wearable vest your dog can use at home, consistently, without appointments or ongoing costs. Power on, 20-minute auto-off timer does the rest.
What is photobiomodulation?
Red light therapy — clinically known as photobiomodulation (PBM) — works at the cellular level. Light energy penetrates tissue and interacts with cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondrial membrane, triggering a cascade of natural repair processes: increased ATP production, reduced oxidative stress, and improved blood flow to damaged tissue.
The result is real, measurable, and drug-free: reduced inflammation, accelerated tissue repair, and natural pain relief without side effects.
The American Animal Hospital Association now describes photobiomodulation as "becoming standard of care in veterinary practice."
660nm Red Light — focused, effective, simple.
The Back Therapy Vest delivers 660nm red light — the most studied and clinically established wavelength in photobiomodulation therapy. Single-wavelength simplicity means no settings to learn, no modes to choose — just consistent, targeted therapy at the clinically optimal wavelength for surface and tissue-level recovery.
Targets the dermal layer and surface tissue. Supports wound healing, coat health, blood circulation stimulation, and collagen regeneration. Stimulates ATP production at the cellular level — the foundational mechanism behind all PBM therapy.
Who the Back Therapy Vest is for.
What your dog may experience with consistent use.
Results vary by dog, condition, and consistency of use. Most commonly reported improvements include:
- Easier rising from lying positions — less hesitation and effort getting up
- Reduced reluctance on stairs and inclines
- Less visible stiffness after walks or periods of rest
- Improved range of motion and more fluid movement
- Increased activity and engagement during daily routines
- Reduced reliance on pain medication — always in consultation with your vet
Most customers notice subtle improvements within 1–2 weeks of daily sessions. More significant changes are typically observed at the 3–4 week mark with consistent use.

Part of a complete daily routine.
The Back Therapy Vest is the entry point into the Solaura system — the simplest, most consistent way to start daily red light therapy at home. As your dog's needs evolve, or if you want deeper tissue coverage, the Pro Vest adds 850nm and 880nm wavelengths for widespread joint inflammation and chronic deep-tissue conditions.
Pair it with the Solaura CoolDown Mat for post-session recovery — cool, comfortable rest after therapy supports the cellular processes the vest activates.
Try it for 30 days. If your dog doesn't show improvement — or for any reason at all — contact us for a full refund. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.
We stand behind this product because we use it ourselves. Every single day. On a 16-year-old Puggle named Maya.

"I was skeptical. Truly. But after watching Biscuit struggle on the stairs for six months and spending $400 a month on vet laser sessions that only helped while we kept going, I was willing to try anything. Three weeks in I actually cried. He climbed onto the couch by himself for the first time in almost a year. We haven't missed a daily session since."

"I already use red light therapy on myself so when I saw this existed for dogs I ordered it the same day. Our 9-year-old Lab has hip dysplasia and I'd been wanting something more consistent than clinic visits. Six weeks in he's moving better than he has in two years. My husband was skeptical. He's the one who puts it on him every night now."

"Duke had TPLO surgery on his rear leg and recovery was going slower than his vet projected. A friend in a dog rehab group recommended red light therapy. We started the wrap at week three post-op. By week six his vet said she was genuinely surprised — he was ahead of every milestone she'd set. She asked me what we were doing differently."
