The Back Therapy Vest is designed for small to medium dogs. It comes in two sizes — Small (up to ~20 lbs) and Medium (~20–55 lbs). Use the breed reference guide below or scroll down to measure your dog for a perfect fit.

Large breeds over 55 lbs — The Back Therapy Vest is designed specifically for small to medium dogs. For breeds like Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and larger dogs, the Solaura Pro Vest provides the panel size and coverage needed for a proper therapeutic fit.

How to measure your dog for a perfect fit.

Measure back length
With your dog standing, measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. This is your primary measurement.

Measure chest girth
Measure around the widest point of the chest just behind the front legs. The straps should close comfortably — not tight, not loose.

Compare to panel height
Small panel is 30cm (11.8") tall. Medium panel is 40cm (15.75") tall. Your dog's back length should be longer than the panel height for full coverage.

Two-finger fit check
When fitted, the panel should lie flat against the back with full LED contact. Fit two fingers under each strap — secure but not restrictive.
Between sizes? Size up. A slightly larger panel provides more coverage — a panel that's too small won't deliver full therapeutic benefit to the lumbar region. If you're unsure, email us at support@solaurapet.com and we'll help you find the right fit before you order.
